Study Shows Most Pet Owners Love Their Pets More Than People In Their Lives!

Which is not a surprise of us as we already know that 96% of pet owners prefer spending the holidays alone at home with their pet rather than visiting family and friends while leaving their pet alone at home.

They collected the data in a 2015 Survey of pet sitters and pet parents, and here are the findings:

 

  • 61% of pet parents will end a relationship if the other person does not like their pet.So  next time you go on a date with a dog owner grabs a treat for his/her dog!
  • 37% of pet parents would give up a job opportunity for their petLike in ” Sorry, I can’t give you an answer right now, I’ll see what my dog thinks of it and get back to you!”

  • 34% said they preferred kissing their pet over their significant other.I can only imagine that hearing ” I’m sorry, but my dog kisses better than you” won’t do one’s self-esteem any good.
  • 25% said they suspect their family prefers their dog over their significant other.
  • Over 25% of pet parents have brought a pet on their date.“Sorry, can’t go with you to the fancy restaurant, my dog doesn’t like the styling very much”
  • 59% said they’d prepare a special meal on Valentine’s Day for their pet.
  • 85% said that while browsing dating site, they are more likely to be interested in someone with a dog in the photo( Are you single and looking for a date? Here’s a tip, put a picture with your dog looking as cute as he could be)

  • 95% of dog owners said they would rather spend the night at home with their dog than going on a blind date.(I can totally get that, at least with my dog I know exactly what am I getting).
  • Over 24% have planned special “dates” just with their dog.(Sorry, I’m not available this Saturday night, my dog is taking me to the movies)
  • 56% of pet parents prefer to share the bed with their pet than their significant other.
  • Almost 70% of people would choose time with their dog over “alone time” with their significant other.(Well, the truth is, dogs really know how to cuddle!)
  • 45% of people spend more money on their pet each month than their significant other.
